Channel 4: Press Screening

Last monday evening (19th Oct, 2009) I had the pleasure of attending the private press screening of 'My Beautiful Face' - a Mentorn Media documentary which is due to be publicly aired on Channel 4 on the 29th of October. The evening was a great success and I thank Channel 4 for hosting the event in their studios on Horseferry Road, London.

'My Beautiful Face' documents the story of one of my patients, Katie Piper, who suffered a brutal acid attack last year, severely damaging her face and several regions of her body. Since the attack I have performed a series of very intense operations on Katie in order to reconstruct her damaged face and body using a variety of ground-breaking techniques and surgical procedures. As you can imagine, over the last 18 months have formed a close relationship with the Piper family and we have all been on the most meaningful of journeys together.

I was thoroughly impressed with the documentary and left the private screening feeling very content that the world would finally get to see how truly brave, courageous and inspirational Katie has been through her ordeal. Please share Katie's journey by tuning in to Channel 4 on October 29th at 9pm to view 'My Beautiful Face'.
