My name is Mohammad Ali Jawad and I am a Plastic, Reconstructive and Burns Surgeon, practicing predominantly in London and throughout the United Kingdom. My time is divided between work for the NHS and my private cosmetic surgery clinic, Nip n Tuck Surgery, for which I am the Managing Director and lead surgeon.

This blog has been created to keep interested parties up to date with projects that I am involved in, with particular emphasis on my ongoing involvement with the treatment of burns victim Katie Piper, plus other medical & surgical subjects for which I have an interest. 60 Minutes, Channel 9, Australia







News of Dr Mohammad Jawad's remarkable burns reconstruction surgery on acid attack patient Katie Piper has made a significant impact throughout the world's press. Following features on BBC World Service, Channel 4 and ITN, the story has most recently been covered by Australian broadcaster Channel 9 as part of their '60 Minutes' series.

'60 Minutes' is a flagship news and documentary show with millions of Australian viewers tuning in every week to watch cutting-edge, factual programming. The show has been running since 1979 and is still a winner with national TV ratings. It attributes its success to its method of telling stories through the eyes of those involved - personalising the stories that are featured.
