Katie: My Beautiful Friends, Channel 4

In 2009, millions watched a powerful Cutting Edge film following Katie Piper as she battled to overcome the physical and emotional trauma that resulted from a shocking attack in which she had acid thrown in her face. The response was overwhelming - Katie had thousands of letters from people living with disfigurement, who inspired her to launch a charity to help with rehabilitation.

Now in 2011, Channel 4's new four-part series called 'Katie: My Beautiful Friends' follows the amazing Katie over a year as she works to set up her charity, meet people with various disfigurements and continue to rebuild her own life in her own astonishingly determined way.

Tune-in to Channel 4 at 9pm, Tuesday 22nd March to see the first in the series.
